Fitness For Work (FFW) / Fitness For Duty (FFD) Assessments

What is Fitness for Work?

A person is fit for work when they are in a physical, mental and emotional state that enables them to perform their assigned tasks competently and in a manner that does not threaten their own or others health or safety. 

Independent assessments of Fitness for Work are offered in the following contexts:

  1. Mental Health Issues
  2. Breaches of company Drug and Alcohol policy and procedures
  3. Fatigue problems
  4. Post Critical Incident requirements for return to duty.

All FFW assessments are undertaken utilising:

  1. Clinical interviews
  2. Relevant clinical assessment tools and
  3. Relevant external tests (e.g. urine or saliva tests)
